History:
Lot 9 Concession 4W was granted on April 15, 1830 to Jno. Frank by the Crown. In 1831 the title passed to Joseph Leflar.

In that same year, for the consideration of £5.0.0, Leflar deeded one acre to the Trustees of the Methodist Episcopalian Church for use as a cemetery. Deed No. 8557 was dated Feb 22, 1832.

The Cemetery was not surveyed into plots. As a result, graves are placed in irregular rows.

In the 1930’s, the cemetery was described by Wm. Perkins Bull as being in a very poor state of repair. By 1981, it was somewhat better but was overgrown by a wood lot of young oak trees.
