History:
Perkins Bull, ca 1930, reports that Blair’s Cemetery was donated by John and George Blair about 1855 and plots were sold as family plots. Bull described the cemetery as surrounded by a wire fence which was falling over, the gate of which was open. The grounds were overgrown with weeds, grass, and bush. Many of the stones were leaning and some had fallen over. In her book, Early Churches of Albion and Caledon Townships, Peel County, Trudy Mann states that the cemetery was not only for family burials but also for those of friends and neighbours.
In 1943, a meeting of plot owners was held, and trustees were elected. In 1960, Harry and Mary Willis donated land to enlarge the grounds. The cemetery is located on the northwest corner of Concession 4, West Caledon. It continues to be managed by the Boston Mills Cemetery Board.
