History:
The cemetery is owned and operated by the Arbor Memorial Services Incorporated, a Canadian company, engaged in providing interment rights, cremations, funerals, associated merchandise and services to thousands of families each year in all provinces except Newfoundland and Prince Edward Island.

First established in 1947, the company is comprised of 41 cemeteries, 27 crematoria and 87 funeral homes. The cemetery properties range in size from approximately 25 to 180 acres and are staffed by permanent maintenance, administrative and sales personnel. The highly trained professionals staffing the funeral homes supply professionalized support and customized services for small or large gatherings.

The funeral homes and cemeteries of Arbor Memorial Services have been developed to provide for the specific needs of many ethnic and religious groups in Canada and are recognized as important contributing members within their respective communities.

The cemetery was started in January 1979 under the name of Halton Hills Memorial Gardens and later changed in November 2000 to Burlington Memorial Gardens: this location chosen as it was in the proximity of Burlington.
