History:
The following is printed on a brass plaque on the front door of the church:
“The land upon which this building sits was donated by James Beaty. The building was also designed by James Beaty. Construction commenced in 1850 under the direction of W. C. Beaty, the first preacher and was completed in 1851.
October 12, 1851 marks the date that the first worship service was conducted within this building. The guest speaker was Alex Anderson of Eramosa.
The congregation has continued to worship in this structure for 137 years.
September 1988.”
