Shireman’s Burying Grounds

History:
Very little is known about this cemetery which disappeared long-ago.
The 1877 Historical Atlas of Halton County shows the cemetery at the south-west corner of James Shireman’s property at Lot 20, Concession 2 NDS (North of Dundas Street).
Today, there is a residence at this corner and the cemetery area is composed of the front lawn and a few large trees, with no sign of its previous use. We do not know if the graves were moved to another location.
